INFORMATION & ENCOURAGEMENT

Faith Bible Church,

The elders continue to meet to pray and discuss the unique challenges that are presented to our church in light of COVID-19. We love you and want to shepherd and lead you through this crisis. Rest assured, the Lord will lead His people through this! Praise God.

Pray for the FBC elders. We are dependent upon the Lord to provide us with wisdom. We seek to prioritize the worship of God and the fellowship of His people while at the same time setting up reasonable measures that will protect the flock from physical danger.

In-person fellowship is God's design for His people's good and edification (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:24-25). While it had been prudent to temporarily restrict our gatherings to honor the intent of the law and to love our neighbors, we have begun once again to reassemble for corporate worship, while still complying with government regulations regarding social distancing.

Can I attend a Faith Bible Church worship service?

You can attend the Faith Bible Church 10:30 worship service in person. Yet even as we begin the reopening process, we see the value in continuing to also livestream our Sunday morning worship service. Not everyone is comfortable in a group situation, and we want to honor the Lord by showing compassion, patience, and care to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. So our livestream worship service on Facebook will also continue for the forseeable future.

What is the reopening plan for other activities?

The men are meeting in person for their weekly prayer breakfast on Fridays at 6:30 am in the fellowship hall.

Sunday Evening Prayer Fellowship is meeting in the fellowship hall at 6 pm on the first and third Sundays of each month.

This summer, Pastor Kyle will lead a Wednesday Night Teaching Series called Growing in Godliness. This time will involve teaching, prayer, and fellowship. The series runs June 10 - July 29 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. You can also participate via livestream; click HERE.

Growth groups will begin to meet again in the fall.

Sunday school for adults and children will begin to meet again later this summer. Keep tuned for more details about this.

Since children's activities are not yet available, Ranger Joe can help parents teach weekly Bible lessons at home at a level children can understand and enjoy. Linkable worship songs and printable activities are included. This resource is made available through the publisher of our children's curriculum. You can access the weekly lessons by clicking on the graphic below.

Is the office open? What if I need help?

Pastor Kyle and the administrative assistant, Laura, are in the office Tuesday - Friday. Call 785-823-9138 if you need to reach either person.

If you need to stay home or feel ill, Faith Bible Church has many members willing to run errands for you or pick up needed items at the store. Or perhaps you are aware of a physical or spiritual need within the church or the Salina community. Email the church office at laura@faithsalina.com or one of the elders. For the email addresses of these men, go to the About tab on the main page and scroll down to the Leadership and Staff tab.

What about the future?

We are going to continue to monitor and evaluate the information that is made available. We will utilize local and national governing authorities, medical doctors within our church, members, and other local churches for guidance and counsel. We will keep you informed of future developments at Faith Bible Church. There are going to be some unique ministry opportunities for us to consider. This is a time for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to showcase their love for one another and their love for the lost! (John 17:21)

Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all! (2 Thessalonians 3:16)
