The Youth Ministry at Faith Bible Church is called FBC Youth. The guiding verses for FBC Youth are Luke 6:47-49 where Jesus contrasts the man who dug deep and laid the foundation for his house on the rock with the man who built his house on the ground without a foundation. The house with the firm foundation withstood the flood because it had been well built, while the second house fell when the flood broke against it "and the ruin of that house was great." The foundation that Jesus was talking about was coming to Him, hearing His words, and doing them. The students in FBC Youth are challenged to come to Christ, hear His words, and do them. In doing this, their house will be built on a foundation of:
• Knowledge of their need of a Savior. Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. His work is complete.
• Confidence that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.
• Understanding of sound doctrine and the ability to discern between false teaching and truth.
• Desire to live a life of holiness in obedience to Christ.
Sunday School
Junior and senior high students meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am in the basement for Sunday School before the worship service. The class is working through the Bible, learning about who God is, who we are, and what God's plan for us is.
Special Events
The youth get together several times during the year to eat food, play games, and enjoy fellowship. Sometimes the whole family is involved, and sometimes it's just the kids, with adult supervision of course :).
