I was born in Norton, KS. My father worked in construction and we moved around often when I was younger, eventually settling in Enterprise, KS.
Since my parents were not believers in Jesus Christ, I had no encouragement to seek Him or practice faith-based living. But in the 8th grade, I heard the gospel and trusted in Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
I relocated to Salina after high school, pursuing a machine shop program at Salina Area Technical College. I have taught night classes in the machine shop program there. I am also the owner of KZR Inc., a machine shop.
I have been happily married to Tricia since 1985. We have two married sons and enjoy four grandchildren. I like to hunt and read, one of my favorite authors being John MacArthur.
